Work Department

Personal injury and product liability.

Position

Christopher specialises in personal injury and associated litigation alone. His practice is divided 60/40 between claimants and defendants. He undertakes a broad range of multi-track litigation, increasingly concentrating on spinal/catastrophic injury and fatal accident claims. He is the advocate of choice for many specialist PI firms for complex trial work. By reason of his practice he is also often involved in cases that integrate employment law and clinical negligence issues. He continues to be instructed by many of the leading high-ranked personal injury firms in London and the Western circuit. His principle clients remain as Irwin Mitchell (London, Leeds and Sheffield), Pattinson & Brewer (London) and Beachcroft LLP (Bristol, Beachcroft and Newport). His skills have been referred to in the legal directories for many years and he lectures widely and publishes articles in JPIL. Significant work/case highlights over the past 12 months include: Mollie Johnson (by her father & litigation friend, Mark Johnson) v Chesterfield & Derbyshire Royal Hospital NHS Trust; Lee Smith v Nicholas Pannell (High Court, Plymouth District Registry); Colin John Goring v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis; Joshua Rusyn v Taunton Dean Borough Council.
