Qualified 1980, called to Gray's Inn; Assistant Legal Adviser, Williams & Glyn's Bank Plc 1981-84, advising on all aspects of domestic banking law and drafting mortgages and other security documents; Chief Legal Adviser, Societe Generale (London) 1984-87; advising on all aspects of banking law, including cross-border banking and letters of credit, drafting syndicated loan agreements and derivative documentation; joined 13 Old Square 1987 which merged with 7 Stone Buildings to become Maitland Chambers in January 2001.
