Position
Practises in criminal law, both legally aided and privately funded work. An experienced junior who has appeared alone in cases ranging from murder to fraud. Junior counsel for former governer of Delta State and his wife in money laundering and conspiracy to defraud offences. Acts for the defence in military courts martial. Recently led in a murder trial in the Turks and Caicos and advises on death row appeals to the Privy Council. Cases of note: R v Mutede [2006] 2 Cr App R (S) 22, regulatory work (GMC); R v Waya (junior before Supreme Court). Accredited by Bar Council to accept public access work. Publication of note: 'New technology saves the day' in Counsel Magazine (February 2012).
