Position
Barrister specialising in entertainment and media law including copyright; professional negligence; election law; commercial contract disputes; and mediation. Reported cases include Chan-U-Seek v Alvis Vehicles Ltd (multi-million-pound claim for commission allegedly due on sale of tanks to government of Indonesia); Intelsec Systems Ltd & Ors v Grech-Cini & Ors (1999) 4 All ER 1 (intellectual property – interim remedies); Microsoft Corporation v Backlash Distribution Limited & Ors. In the field of mediation, Richard is now one of the most experienced and widely regarded commercial mediators at the Bar. He mediates a wide range of disputes including commercial (civil fraud, share sale agreements, contracts etc), professional negligence, intellectual property, construction and land, defamation and employment.
