Position
Adam Wiseman both prosecutes and defends in all types of criminal law. The majority of his work in recent years has been defending in heavy criminal work. He has extensive experience in cases involving serious violence, sexual offences, child abuse, fraud, corruption, money-laundering and drug trafficking prosecuted both by the CPS and other prosecuting authorities. He has expertise in trials involving vulnerable witnesses, child defendants, and cross-examination via video-link. He is regularly assigned by the Registrar of Criminal Appeals to appear in the Court of Appeal and he has appeared in the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council on pro bono appeals, including appeals against the death penalty. Although a busy practitioner, he still finds time to develop his interest in Health & Safety law and actively welcomes work in this area as well.
