Position

John Lloyd–Jones QC is a trial strategist, dedicated to the forensic analysis of evidence and passionate about the in-court examination of witnesses. He is one of the most highly experienced, in–demand specialist Criminal Barristers defending and prosecuting on the Midland and South Eastern Circuits in high profile cases, including fraud, murder, fatal accidents and conspiracy. Prior to taking to Silk John established himself as Counsel of first choice for Defence Solicitors and Crown Prosecutors, thereby charged with allowing vulnerable victims to be heard and entrusted with protecting the interests of those with more to lose than just their liberty (the Imam prosecuted for sexual assault; the local Solicitor charged with Perverting the Course of Justice; the paratrooper who stole his comrades’ campaign medals; the son of a CPS employee prosecuted for fraud and the Police Officer accused of misusing the Police National Computer). John’s reputation for meticulous case preparation won him special praise and saw him regularly instructed in the more complex cases where the weight of the evidence, or the issues, demanded tireless attention to detail and outstanding advocacy. ‘A very good choice of barrister, with exceptional skills across the board; preparation, communication, client care and, of course, advocacy’ Joanne Goddard, Solicitor & Crown Court Department Manager, Bains Solicitors. John’s first year in Silk has seen him advise Solicitors and private clients on discrete issues of privilege, confidentiality, costs and disclosure involving multi-national third parties.
