Position

Geoffrey Sullivan has a mixed common law practice, encompassing civil and commercial disputes and advice and representation in employment law. Geoffrey draws upon his extensive experience as a criminal advocate, having regularly prosecuted and defended both in London and on Circuit, and appearing in the Central Criminal Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Geoffrey has expertise in prosecuting confidence fraud, counterfeiting and breaches of health and safety regulations, and is a contributing editor to ‘Trading Standards Law and Practice’ (2nd Ed Jordans), environmental trading standards editor. In 2008, Geoffrey was appointed a deputy coroner for North London and has experience representing families in the coronial jurisdiction. Geoffrey has a broad civil litigation practice, providing advice and representation at all levels. He has successfully represented both claimants and respondents at the Employment Tribunal. His practice also includes advising in respect of residential and commercial property, with valuable experience in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, acting for both tenants and managing agents. Geoffrey has also appeared in contested TOLATA matters. Advice and representation is also available in contractual and personal injury matters. Geoffrey has appeared in planning matters including applications for injunctive relief in the High Court. Geoffrey has prosecuted for the Environment Agency, Child Support Agency, Local Government, Trading Standards and Licensing authorities. He has invaluable experience in the Coroners’ Court and is in a position to represent robustly the interests of the family or other properly interested persons. Geoffrey also has extensive experience of trade union and insurance company funded road traffic matters.
