Position

Barrister practising as arbitrator, mediator, adjudicator and lecturer in the field of building and civil engineering, energy supply and computer software disputes. He has represented clients primarily in the High Court and in the Appellate Courts in England and before various other national and international tribunals. He has vast experience in disputes concerning disruption and delay and in disputes concerning the formation of and the termination of contracts. He has extensive experience of claims related to the energy sector; and has been involved in a number of high-profile disputes concerning defective piled foundations. He is frequently appointed to act as arbitrator in both domestic and international disputes and has long experience of acting as an adjudicator and as a mediator. He has acted as arbitrator in cases relating to projects located in more than 34 countries, including the UK, Ghana, Romania, the Philippines, India and Saudi Arabia. He is a former Deputy High Court Judge of the Queen’s Bench Division and a former Recorder of the Crown Court.
