Stephanie has a busy practice in predominantly planning and local government work which includes all areas of planning work from court challenges and inquiries to prosecutions. She acts for a variety of public and private sector clients and is ranked as one of the top planning barristers under 35 and one of the top planning juniors overall.

Stephanie lives in York and practices both from York and Chambers and acts for clients throughout England.

She is qualified to accept instructions via public access.

Examples of her recent instructions include:

  • Acting as sole counsel for a landowner during the Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station DCO Examination
  • Advising a local planning authority in relation to a 22 turbine wind farm application under the Electricity Act 1989
  • Successfully challenging in the High Court an Inspector’s decision to dismiss an enforcement notice appeal
  • Successfully representing a local planning authority at a two-week housing inquiry
