A versatile public law lawyer, Estelle's practice focuses on areas: environment and planning law (with particular expertise in climate change matters) and data protection and access to information. She also practices in election law. Estelle is a member of the Attorney General's B Panel.

Recent cases include Preston New Road Action Group & Frackman v SSC LG
[2018] EWCA Civ 9, the leading case on the environmental impacts of tracking; Maurizi v IC & CPS [2017] UKFTT 0041, concerning access to informaiton about Julian Assange; Keenan v Woking BC [2017] EWCA Civ 438, which established the correct approach to pennitted development. Estelle is also instructed on a range of significant proposals subject to public inquiry.

Among other publications, contributing editor to two leading practitioner texts: Clayton and Tomlinson The Law of Human Rights (2009); Philip Coppel QC Information Rights: Law and Practice (2014); 'Fair, Lawful, Legitimate and Transparent Processing', in Peter Carey, Data Protection: a practical Guide to UK and EU law, (5th ed, Oxford University Press, 2018) 42-65 (with Peter Carey).
