Position
Barrister; civil actions against the police: Vincent Williams has advised and/or been to trial in several hundred police civil actions and is instructed by a number of police forces. He is listed as a ‘Leader at the Bar’ in the area of police law by ‘Chambers UK, A Client’s Guide to the Profession’ which recites his praises by leading police forces as ‘an integral part of this formidable team of senior juniors’ at 9 Gough Square, ‘Absolutely excellent, thorough, well prepared and strong in cross-examination’ the Guide refers to him as the forces’ favourite, celebrated for being ‘really easy to work with’. Personal injury: Vincent’s personal injury experience includes: claims arising from road traffic accidents; injuries at work; and rail disasters (Watford, Paddington, Ladbroke Grove, Hatfield). Coroners’ inquests: during his career, Vincent has been involved in a number of sensitive Coroners’ inquests. Vincent was instructed, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in the Statutory Inquiry into the Death of Victoria Climbie (chair: Lord Laming of Tewin).
