Position
Huw Davies has a broad-based practice in commercial litigation in line with chambers’ profile, with particular emphasis on the following areas in which he is a recognised specialist: aviation; civil/commercial fraud and asset recovery; insurance and reinsurance; jurisdiction disputes; and shipping. He has appeared regularly as advocate in the Commercial Court, Court of Appeal and Privy Council and much of his work involves appearing before international and domestic arbitration tribunals including ICC, LCIA, and LMAA. He has considerable experience of heavy commercial litigation. He has also acted as an LCIA arbitrator.
Career
Huw began practice in the Chambers of Stuart McKinnon and George Newman JJ and joined Essex Court Chambers in 1991.
