Position

Barrister at the Commercial Bar for over twenty five years. Specialist areas of practice include shipping, civil fraud, insurance and reinsurance, professional negligence, energy and utilities, information technology, arbitration and multi-party commercial litigation. Practice encompasses all types of commercial litigation and advisory work both in court (having appeared in cases in the Commercial Court, Queen’s Bench Division, Chancery Division, Court of Appeal and House of Lords) and in international commercial arbitration acting both as counsel and as arbitrator (sole, party appointee and third arbitrator), as well as being a CEDR-accredited mediator. Also sits as a deputy High Court judge (Queen’s Bench Division, Administrative Court) and as a recorder of the Crown Court.
