Position
Barrister specialising in commercial litigation, shipping and aviation in arbitration and the Commercial and Admiralty Court. Recent cases include: consideration of letters of indemnity in respect of the sale of bulk oil cargoes; disputes arising under a wreck removal contract and acting for owners in respect of explosion and fire on board a new container vessel. Presently advising in an arbitration in relation to an aviation disaster, a Formula One racing team as regards its rights under the Concorde Agreement and a major hull claim under the ITC (Hulls) [1983]. Currently acting as an ICC arbitrator in several aviation disputes; acting for owners in wrongful withdrawal under time charter dispute; acting for owners in several unsafe port cases; acting variously for salvors and owners in respect of several claims. Recently acted for owners of seismic streamer vessel in collision with container vessel: The Western Neptune [2010] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 158.
