Position
Marion leads teams experienced and specialising in property, construction and development and regeneration work for clients in the commercial and public sectors; investors; housing associations; public utility companies. She has particular responsibility for reporting systems, service delivery and quality control. Deals with all types of commercial property transactions, including high value transactions for property developers; due diligence investigations into property portfolios of major clients preparing for flotation, transfer of undertakings and land development. Work includes: BHAFC New Stadium – acting for Brighton Hove Albion Football Club, dealing with detailed tri-partite development agreement between the Club, the Council and Brighton University covering development conditions and site assembly, car parking agreement for innovative park and ride scheme, joint venture for educational provision at the site; Port Regeneration – acting for a south coast port on the proposed regeneration scheme incorporating development agreement dealing with construction of new ferry terminal, harbour works, port-related improvements and housing development and new access road, lease and lease back – work included due diligence on extensive port property portfolio including port-related issues; Property Portfolio for national company – setting up a team to act on an extensive varied property and management portfolio, identifying work which could be best and most cost effectively dealt with on line and setting up on line instruction and reporting system for client, providing in-house training for client staff to ensure clear understanding of client liabilities, drafting templates and checklists for other areas of work such as company formation, management agreements, disposals and lease extensions to ensure that they are dealt with efficiently and cost effectively.
