Position
A specialist chancery and commercial lawyer whose practice focuses on commercial and Chancery litigation and advisory work, covering intellectual property and privacy, contract, sale of goods, partnership, construction, banking and guarantees, restraint of trade, fraud and asset tracing. Having worked on the libel team for ‘The Times’ and ‘The Sunday Times’ in the 80s, he has particular expertise in intellectual property, including media and entertainment and IT, and copyright, trade marks, trade libel, defamation, telecoms and e-commerce and sports litigation. He is known for his hands-on approach and is an experienced advocate. He is lead author of a major new textbook, published by Jordans, entitled ‘Privacy and Personality Rights 2010’ with a foreword by Max Clifford. Robert is recommended as a leading barrister for intellectual property and media, sports and entertainment in ‘The Legal 500’.
