Position

Called in 2000, a versatile advocate and troubleshooter, Darren is described by clients as “a team player, pragmatic and user friendly”. He has a mixed civil and crime practice covering 4 main fields – Crime / Regulatory & Professional Disciplinary / Inquests / Commercial Dispute Resolution. He is an accredited commercial mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Darren started his working life straight from school with international insurers before coming to the Bar. He retains close links to the insurance industry. Darren has experience working within a city law firm and as in-house counsel with a global consultancy company handling international claims management and adjusting assignments. He completed pupillage at 4 Kings Bench Walk and Tanfield Chambers.
Darren is a qualified solicitor, direct access trained and authorized to conduct litigation. He is an active member of the Bar Pro Bono Unit and a member of Essex Youth Offending Service’s Referral Order Panel. He has taught advocacy and witness presentation skills to expert witnesses. In 2016/17, he mentored a school in the Citizen Foundations’ mock trial contest taking them through to the national finals.

Nicholas Rhodes QC and Martin Goudie QC represented a man sentenced to ten years for importing 2.4 tonnes of cocaine cutting agents, while Darren Snow represented a defendant who was acquitted on a submission of no case to answer after being accused of the theft of £300,000 of Hublot and Rolex watches from the home of a Russian oligarch.
