Position
Experience in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation, often involving extensive or technical evidence, including insurance and reinsurance, professional negligence, building and construction, product liability and personal injury. He has extensive experience of acting in arbitrations. He also regularly acts for clients in mediations and other forms of ADR. Reported cases: J Sainsbury Plc v Ronan [2006] EWCA Civ 1074; Midland Mainline v Commercial General Norwich Union [2004] Lloyd’s Rep IR 22; Sinclair Roche & Temperley v Somatra [2003] 2 Lloyds Rep 855; Smith v South Gloucestershire County Council [2002] 3 EGLR 1.

Called 1999, Inner Temple; assistant editor of ‘Emden on Construction Law’ and the author of the chapters: ‘Conflict of law as applied to building contracts’ and ‘Formation of the contract, mistake and misrepresentation’; currently contributing to a book on construction insurance to be published December 2007.
