Position
Barrister specialising in planning, local government, public and environmental law. Planning work includes appearances at inquiries and DPD examinations throughout the country, relating to housing, retail, compulsory purchase, listed buildings and conservation areas, minerals and waste. Recent appearances include cases for Barratt, St George, Fairview Homes, Tesco, Sainsbury, UK Coal, Hammerson, and Haringey, Sheffield and Maidstone Councils. Recent court cases include Turner v Secretary of State [2015] 375 (Admin) (judicial review of Shell Centre redevelopment planning permission); Archway v Secretary of State [2015] EWHC (Admin) (challenge to CPO for Tottenham Hotspur new stadium); Attorney General v HMB Holdings [2014] UKPC 5 (Privy Council, Compulsory Purchase); Bishopsgate Parking v Welsh Ministers [2012] UKUT 22 (LC).
