Position
Specialises in serious crime (murder/violence) and health and safety, both prosecution and defence; extensive experience of medical issues. Successfully defended Ruth Neave, and helped expose police/Home Office dishonesty in R v Robinson and ors at Leicester (‘Yardie’ case); prosecuted Bedford Hotel murder and Celice Beckett (child prisoner). Recent cases include R v Manning (murder of child which led to ‘Climbie’ inquiry); R v Sutherland (murder acquittal/police cell bugging in Nottingham); R v Momodou (CA 2005) re witness training; R v Ellis (Birmingham New Year shootings) and R v Khan & Others (the terrorist beheading plot case).
