Position
Barrister specialising in serious crime with emphasis on commercial fraud; prosecuted Baroness de Stemple and others, fraud case in Worcester; Wallace Smith for Serious Fraud Office (SFO); Durnford Ford (dishonest solicitor); Skingley and Burrett (corruption) for SFO; (Swithland Motors) for Howes Percival; Altimimi for serious terrorist offences on behalf of CPS HQ. Instructed by CPS in the recently reported Court of Appeal case of R v Stubbings which set the guidelines for sentencing in extreme cases of paedophile pornography. Represented Skidmore in the House of Lords case of Skidmore v Dartford & Gravesham Health Authority which analysed the distinguishing characteristics of personal as opposed to professional misconduct in the context of medical disciplinary proceedings. Instructed by Kingsley Napley; Peters & Peters; Burton Copeland; and Howes Percival for the defence in complex fraud trials and was involved in the Imperial Consolidated case (R v Brook and Fraser) on behalf of the SFO.
