Position
Gary has a wealth of experience having acted for regional, national and multinational trade mark owners in relation to the protection, management, maintenance and exploitation of their national and global trade mark portfolios and associated intellectual property rights. Specific experience includes filing and prosecuting applications for national and international trade mark and design registration before the UK Intellectual Property Office (Designs and Trade Marks) and the Community Trade Marks and Designs Office, and handling related oppositions and appeals. Gary works closely with IP specialists and other professionals, both in the UK and overseas, in order to provide his clients with an integrated, global IP solution.
Career
Qualified trade mark attorney 1990; prior to joining Mathys & Squire LLP in 2008 Gary spent 18 years with a well-known Manchester based firm of trade mark attorneys; 11 years as managing director.
