Position
Mark is head of the firm’s business defence department and leads the fraud team. Practising across the firm. First gained recognition as an accomplished, front-line criminal lawyer and advocate, Mark then concentrated full-time on business defence (fraud and regulatory). He has spent the last 20 years specialising in this at partner level, and has achieved an impressive record of success. Mark has dealt with every type of fraud case, particularly heavyweight professional and tax frauds. He is known for his tactical acumen, tenacity and attention to detail.

Trained Kidd Rapinet Badge (M4 corridor); qualified 1985; criminal advocate Freeth Cartwright 1985-90; set up commercial crime department and became partner 1990; founding partner and head of business defence Cartwright King 2000; specialist fraud panel supervisor 2000.
