Position
Head of property department and the property finance team. The team supports the corporate recovery group in delivering tailored solutions in distressed situations, and strategic advice prior to the onset of formal insolvency procedures, and also regularly works with other disciplines and external advisers in the restructuring of debt. Clients include a large portfolio of high-street and private lenders nationwide. John has particular expertise in leading multi disciplinary teams on larger transactions. The department is by far the best resourced in the North East, and one of the largest in the North of England. It benefits from a comprehensive range of expertise across many sectors, including specialisms in public and private sector housing, education (HE/FE/academies/free schools) and renewables and waste to name but a few.
