Position
Colin’s patent attorney experience covers a wide range of technical fields but particularly focuses on electronics, software and science-based inventions. The core of his work is the preparation and prosecution of international patent portfolios for direct clients, mostly high-tech start-up companies and including spin-outs from Oxford University. He regularly advises such companies on their overall patent strategy. Colin also does substantial amounts of work before the European Patent Office, including prosecution of applications, oppositions and hearings, as well as being responsible for monitoring and advising J A Kemp & Co on US patent law, and for J A Kemp & Co’s liaison with Korean attorneys.
