Position

Catherine specialises in advising on major PPP/PFI, outsourcing and technology projects.  She advises on the procurement and tendering process, drafting and negotiating the various contracts and evaluation of tenders. Projects she has been involved in include the Ministry of Defence's £5bn+ Defence Information Infrastructure project and long-term partnering agreements with industry for submarines and surface ship support; the Northern Ireland Civil Service's IT and business process outsourcing project to modernize HR and payroll functions throughout the Northern Ireland Civil Service and traffic technology projects for the Highways Agency. On the private sector side, she has acted for IT suppliers and for customers in a wide range of industry sectors, including in particular the energy, transport and infrastructure, financial services, and retail sectors.

Christopher McGee-Osborne and Catherine Bingham co-head the government sector group at Dentons which serves an impressive roster of governmental, regulator and corporate clients. Multi-disciplinary teams advise on procurement, environmental and other areas in addition to the public and administrative law, especially in the telecoms sector. It has been appointed to a number of government panels, including the central government General Legal Services Panel. Recent work includes advising the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and other government entities on the procurement of their global fixed and mobile voice and data telecoms network and services.
