The 'well-established' practice at Dentons often handles high-level work, including M&A, event bids and planning. Group head Richard Barham is noted for his 'extensive knowledge of the intersection between sport and the government'; he also advised Eventica Communications on its deal with Hunan Maiden Sports Industry Development to organise and host the World Football Forum in Changsha, in China's Hunan province. Indeed, the practice's links with China are strong: other clients include the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and China Sports & Entertainment. Consultant Adrian Barr-Smith is often active on sports work: he acted for F1 driver Kevin Magnussen and Jack & Jones on their driver and sponsorship agreement with the new Renault F1 team.
