Position

Tihamér Tóth co-heads the Competition and Antitrust practice group in Dentons’ Budapest office. His practice mainly focuses on advising international businesses on all aspects of Hungarian and European competition and antitrust law, including in the areas of unfair competition cases, merger clearance, cartel procedures and state aid matters.

Tihamér’s extensive knowledge of EU and competition law stems from his previous leadership positions, as well as from his experience representing clients. He is the former Chairman of the Competition Council of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and the former Vice President of the GVH. He has over 15 years of experience working in government with the European Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GVH.
