Daniel Hurych is Partner and Co-head of Banking and finance practice in Dentons’ Prague office. He has over 20 years of experience in advising banks and other financial institutions and corporate borrowers on acquisition, corporate, real estate, project as well as export lending, both bilateral and syndicated, international and local. He also has extensive experience in corporate law and business contracts. 


Prior to joining Dentons, Daniel worked over 10 years in the Prague office of Clifford Chance.

Daniel graduated Cum laude from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He holds two LL.M. degrees, in International Business Law from the Central European University in Budapest (2000) and in International Comparative Law from the Penn State University Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle in the USA (2003).

Singled out for its solid real estate finance expertise, Dentons' broad practice also advises on major acquisition and leveraged finance, project finance, and export finance transactions, as well as regulatory matters. Clients praise its 'thorough understanding of the needs of both creditors and debtors and the ability to draft solutions that can be used to get the deal done quickly to the satisfaction of both parties'. The team is jointly led by Daniel Hurych and Jiří Tomola, and saw the promotion of Tomáš Osička to the partnership and the hire of associate Jarmila Hager. John Stansfield is another name to note and focuses on emerging markets, and structured trade and export financings and restructurings. The team advised Residomo on the Czech aspects of the issuance of senior secured bonds, and assisted PF Nonwovens with the financing of its acquisition of First Quality Nonwovens and First Quality Nonwovens. It also advised Česká spořitelna and Československá obchodní banka on the syndicated financing of the acquisition of a 70% stake in AutoCont group by KKCG and acted for UniCredit Bank on the refinancing of a number of real estate portfolios of CTP, a leading commercial real estate developer and manager operating in Central Europe.
