Position

Adrian has a wide range of commercial property experience acting for property developers, owners and occupiers, with a particular emphasis on the retail sector. Adrian’s experience includes acquisition and disposal of investment properties; development agreements; acting for landlords and tenants on the grant of leases and subleases and lease renewals; all aspects of portfolio management including assignment of leases and licenses to assign, underlet and alter; sale and leaseback; grant funding agreements; acting for lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions and corporate and banking support.

DAC Beachcroft LLP’s ‘responsive and commercial’ department is ‘very thorough’ and specialises in large scale asset management work, fund management, property finance, residential and commercial developments. Team head Alison Key led advice for Hermes Real Estate Investment Management on the £322.5m sale of three of its major retail outlet centres to Land Securities and also led advice for Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, as administering authority for the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, on the purchase of the Morgan Quarter, Cardiff. Peter Williams handles property finance and corporate occupier work and advised Property Alliance Group on the £9.5m acquisition of two office buildings in Leeds. Adrian Wallbank acts for property developers, owners and occupiers, and has particular experience in the retail sector, and worked alongside colleagues in the firm’s national network of offices, in advising Royal London on the launch of its new UK property fund.  Legal directors Liz Donnelly, Rachael Reynolds, who was recently promoted and Leanne Murray, who heads the residential development team, are also recommended, as is senior associate Nick Molloy. Nick Beko joined gunnercooke LLP in 2017.
