Alexandra studied LLB Law at the University of Warwick and completed her Legal Practice Course at Birmingham College of Law, achieving a distinction. She undertook her training contract with DLA Piper in London and qualified as a solicitor on 1 October 2009.  Following qualification, she continued to work there for four years in the dedicated property team of the Restructuring Department.  

Whilst at DLA Piper Alexandra was seconded to work in the distressed property teams at both Clydesdale Bank PLC and National Australia Bank Limited. She now specialises in Commercial Property focusing on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold premises, management of investment properties, development work and Landlord and Tenant matters.

The commercial property practice at Ashtons Legal operates as a single unity across all of the firm's offices in East Anglia and is led from Ipswich by experienced partner James Griffiths. His practice encompasses the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold premises, advice on investment properties, property finance transactions, development projects, and landlord/tenant matters. He has the support of associate Simon Burnip whose recent work includes the purchase of a development site that was simultaneously sold off to a pub operator, and which included a lease for a major hotel operator.
