Andrew is a partner in the Developement and the Construction teams. He also specialises in  Affordable Housing. Andrew acts for a number of developers, landowners and charities. Clients include, the United Reformed Church Thames North Synod, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Peabody, Optivo, a rapidly expanding house builder, an international hotel operator and a large landed estate. Development and construction work has ranged from industrial, retail and iconic office buildings, such as Bush House, to the construction of new college buildings, a substantial hotel, housing schemes and single high-value dwellings.

Cripps LLP fields a 'highly professional, diligent and knowledgeable' practice that is praised for its 'commitment to the charities sector'. The firm's clients cover the waterfront of charitable and not-for-profit arenas, including art, culture and heritage; education; social housing; and healthcare. It also acts for a number of religious charitable organisations, such as The London Diocesan Fund, for which it handles the full range issues arising from its property portfolio. On the education front, the practice acted for The University of Kent (a longstanding client) on the development of a new college consisting of 801 new student bedrooms and a central social hub building. Other highlights included acting for The English National Ballet, a new client for 2017, on the relocation of its main headquarters, which involved negotiating the construction documents relating to the fit-out of its new headquarters. Kate Arnold heads the team, which includes Andrew Harbourne, who acts for a number of religious, education and affordable housing sector clients, and Peter Scott, who is praised for his ability to 'analyse all sides of complex problems and provide very practical and commercial advice'.

Cripps LLP fields a 'professional and well-resourced' construction practice that handles the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, with an emphasis on regeneration and urban renewal projects. In an illustration of its track record in major regeneration projects, the practice is continuing to act for Slough Borough Council on the £1bn regeneration of Slough, which involves a £27m library, an £8m football stadium for Slough Town FC, and most recently four new leisure centres, the refurbishment of a number of schools and several housing and infrastructure developments. Other highlights included assisting the English National Ballet with the relocation of its headquarters to London City Island, which involved negotiating the construction documents relating to the fit-out of the new HQ; and acting for Kato Kagaku Co on the refurbishment of the Aldwych Quarter in London, for which Andrew Harbourne led the team handling the completion of the appointment and construction documentation for the work on the north west wing in 2017. James Lee heads the practice and is 'a great construction lawyer who offers practical and commercial advice in a timely manner, and achieves a good balance between protecting the client's interests and commercial acceptability'. Contentious construction expert Nitej Davda is also recommended.
