Career

Peter McGeown is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience. He specialises in Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax planning; Will drafting and all aspects of trust and estate administration.

As a member of the firm’s specialist contentious inheritance team he also advises upon disputes concerning Wills and trusts. Peter provides a full range of advice services to the elderly including powers of attorney, court of protection matters, long term care issues and asset protection.

An Inland Revenue Officer before qualifying as a solicitor, Peter also advises on personal capital tax planning issues in corporate transactions including sales of owner managed businesses, shareholder agreements and the structuring of private businesses generally.

Peter is a former Chairman of the STEP Thames Valley Branch and has recently been elected to serve a three year term on STEP Council worldwide and also sits on the STEP England & Wales Regional Committee, representing the Thames Valley, Birmingham and Gloucestershire and Wiltshire branches.
