Clifford Chance partner Jared Grubb moves to Kyiv

May 2009

Jared Grubb, banking and finance partner, moved from Clifford Chance in Moscow to Kyiv, Ukraine on May 1st 2009.

The Kyiv office was opened in October 2008 with one partner, two counsel and a team of associates who advise domestic and international clients on banking and finance, corporate/M&A, real estate and litigation.

The move builds upon Jared Grubb's experience advising clients in Ukraine in recent years and underlines the Clifford Chance commitment to Ukraine as the country pulls through the global financial crisis.

Michael Cuthbert, Regional Managing Partner for Central Eastern Europe and Russia, commented, "Jared's move to Kyiv reflects the requirements of local and international clients for advice in connection with investments, international debt restructurings and distressed assets."

Jared Grubb added, "Clifford Chance has built a leading practice in Ukraine in a very short period of time and this is a unique opportunity to strengthen the firm's Kyiv practice while continuing to work closely with clients across the CIS."

Jared Grubb is English law qualified and joined Clifford Chance as a partner in the Moscow office in June 2007. He specialises in providing advice across the range of bank lending and financial activity including corporate, industry, real estate, structured finance and infrastructure. He advises banks, corporations, financiers, investors and project developers and sponsors. Jared has advised on bank lending, financing, and debt restructuring in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries since 2005.
