What we say about the firm's legal practice in Qatar
Foreign firms
Within Foreign firms, Clifford Chance is a second tier firm,
Clifford Chance opened its office in Doha in response to clients’ requests for a presence on the ground. Richard Parris and Greg Englefield head the team locally, with oversight from Gulf managing partner Graham Lovett. The group recently advised Mannai Corporation on its acquisition of 35% of Axiom Limited’s shares as well as in procuring acquisition financing from HSBC. The focus now is on increasing its share of corporate and infrastructure finance, debt capital markets and regulatory work in the jurisdiction. It will also continue to build on the strong working relations it has established with local counsel including Hassan A Alkhater Law Office, Law Offices of Gebran Majdalany, and Sultan Al-Abdulla & Partners.
