Position
James Lawson is a highly experienced commercial property lawyer having acted for a wide range of developer and industrial clients. Over recent years, James has advised in connection with the following high-profile schemes in the Yorkshire region: Simons Developments’ acquisition and development out of its award-winning City Walk Scheme in Leeds; Urban Splash’s acquisition and development out of its award-winning mixed use Lister Mills Bradford Scheme; Home Group’s regeneration partnership scheme with Sheffield City Council in connection with the redevelopment of three council states in the city; Crosby Homes Yorkshire’s joint venture with Evans of Leeds and Land Securities in connection with the 700 unit mixed-use scheme at Hungate, York. In addition to the above, James has a wide range of experience in acting for industrial clients in relation to both their development schemes and day-to-day land acquisitions and disposals, as well as advising them in property aspects of corporate support matters.
