Position

Peter is a partner in Capsticks dispute resolution department. He has particular experience of the regulation of healthcare professionals. He has also drafted statutory instruments, as well as fitness to practise rules and constitutional documents for regulators. Peter is a solicitor-advocate (Higher Courts Civil) and has acted as legal adviser to committees and as advocate in many professional regulatory cases both at the interim suspension and public inquiry stages. He is a nominated advocate for disciplinary proceedings brought by the solicitors regulation authority. Peter has considerable experience in judicial review proceedings and has represented regulatory bodies in appeals to the High Court and Privy Council. He also advises clients about primary care fraud and related civil, criminal and disciplinary proceedings, as well as general public law and healthcare law issues.

Career

Qualified: 1996; trained Palmer Wheeldon (now Eversheds), Cambridge; made partner Capsticks in 2009. Peter joined Capsticks in 2008 having previously been an associate at Mills & Reeve.
