Position
Peter is Capsticks’ senior partner. He specialises in sensitive and complex contentious and non-contentious employment and public law matters, including a number of cases involving disciplinary action against doctors, reconfiguration of health services and healthcare regulation and inspection. He has acted in several high-profile judicial review cases involving matters such as the closure of hospitals, fluoridation of the water supply and decisions not to fund particular medical treatments. Peter’s employment law practice includes handling major organisational changes such as the establishment of the UK’s first Academic Health Science Centre and advising on TUPE transfers, redundancy consultation and pension issues.
