Position
Chris is a partner specialising in commercial and contractual work for healthcare bodies and voluntary organisations. He advises on major constitutional and governance changes, such as the implications of the new ways of working in primary and community care and the establishment of new local entities including social enterprises and community interest companies. He is a regular lecturer on corporate governance issues as they relate to public bodies. Chris is also an expert on substantial information management and technology contracts and other public and private sector service agreements and joint ventures. He has a special interest in European Union law, derived from early work in procurement and competition law fields. Notable projects include the London Ambulance Service CAD procurement and advising on the establishment of ‘Your Healthcare’, the provider services arm of Kingston PCT, as a community interest company.

Trained Jaques & Lewis (now Eversheds); qualified 1987; solicitor in the company/commercial department with extensive experience of European Union and UK general commercial, contract and competition law; head of commercial team specialising in health service law Capsticks 1993; partner 1994; management sub-committee; member of the firm’s Primary Care, Foundation Trusts and Prison Healthcare Group.
