The dispute resolution practice at Gallo Barrios Pickmann Abogados is led by Giancarlo Mandriotti, who has considerable expertise in commercial and corporate litigation and arbitration. He is currently representing a local company in arbitration proceedings over damages in relation to the cancellation of a high-profile restaurant business project, and is also acting for an American freight forwarder against Peru’s Air Force in relation to the execution of a transportation contract. As we go to press, the firm has just announced the opening of two new practices as part of its combination with Dentons (which is expected to be launched in October): criminal law, which will be led by Marcello Croci; and compliance, which will be led by Claudio Cajina; both join as partners from the former Croci, Silva y Cajina Abogados. Concurrently the disputes practice has recruited José Miguel Cárdenas as counsel responsible for litigation and arbitration proceedings.
