The ‘super committed’ and ‘proactive’  Tanoira Cassagne Abogados’ banking and finance team is best known for its work with banks in their different roles as underwriters, placement agents, trustees, custodians, escrow agents, grantors of loans, and in relation to foreign exchange and regulatory matters. Project finance and restructurings are other active market segments, with the practice also working extensively with mutual funds, stock exchanges and depositary agents. The ‘exemplary’ Alexia Rosenthal, who has extensive experience in banking, finance, capital markets and stock market regulatory matters, co-leads the practice alongside accomplished banking and capital markets lawyer Jaime Uranga, who also covers Central Bank regulation, restructurings and sovereign and sub-sovereign debt issuance. Rocio Carrica, who was promoted to the partnership in 2022, is recognised for her expertise in financial regulatory matters and foreign exchange regulations, and also has an active fintech practice. Tanoira Cassagne Abogados advises domestic and international consumer businesses on the drafting of terms and conditions, advertising and commercial claims, extended warranties, product liability and recalls, and food and drug labelling compliance. The team also handles consumer litigation matters (as plaintiff or defendant), and participates in complex lawsuits and class actions. Team head Francisco Rondoletti, whose practice encompasses competition law, consumer protection and trade regulation, has represented national and multinational companies in class actions and product liability cases. Juan Martín de la Vega, who has advised on several class actions, is the key contact at associate level.

Tanoira Cassagne Abogados assists national and international clients on the development of dispute prevention structures, as well as advising them on the resolution of complex disputes before national and international courts and at arbitration tribunals. Dispute prevention, class actions, contractual disputes, shareholder conflicts, out-of-court settlements and restructuring matters are all handled by the practice. Santiago Javier Monti has extensive national and international arbitration experience, and co-leads the practice with Rafael Algorta, a restructuring and arbitration lawyer. Tanoira Cassagne Abogados assists local and international companies on a range of public law matters, including advice and representation in public bids, administrative procedures and litigation. The firm also offers advice on specific regulatory legal frameworks governing the telecoms, energy, oil-and-gas, construction and digital industries, among others. Experienced administrative law partner Bernardo Cassagne has handled numerous bidding processes and privatisations; he co-leads the practice with trade and regulatory partner Francisco Rondoletti, and associate Ignacio Gonzalez Zambón, who handles public tenders and disputes. Tanoira Cassagne Abogados’s competition department covers all antitrust matters including antitrust behaviours, merger notifications and litigation. The team is particularly noted for its antitrust investigations and litigation work in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and retail sectors. Merger-control filings for national and cross-border deals are also covered, with preventative advice on antitrust practices offered too. Partners Francisco Rondoletti and Bernardo Cassagne lead the practice.

Tanoira Cassagne Abogados provides a diverse client base of entrepreneurs and multinationals with an integrated, interdisciplinary service and demonstrates strong expertise in M&A, corporate divestments, dispute resolution, compliance and day-to-day corporate matters. IT services, agribusiness and financial services are among the firm’s most active areas. Well-known consumer and disputes lawyer Santiago Javier Monti leads the practice alongside Rafael Algorta, who has extensive restructuring and litigation expertise; transactional lawyer Alejandro Ciero; and Leopoldo García-Mansilla, who advises local and multinational entities from different industries on corporate matters and M&A.
