Career

Marcos Pulino is one of the founders of Cascione, Pulino, Boulos & Santos Advogados and he leads the Business Law practice together with Fabio Cascione. Marcos concentrates on local and cross-border transactions in the financial and capital markets, including the financing of infrastructure projects, structured transactions, securitization, debt securities issues and consultancy on matters related to banking and capital markets regulations. He is also recognized for his experience in business contracts.

Cascione, Pulino, Boulos & Santos Advogados provides ‘a very high service level’, with strong expertise in structured finance and debt restructurings. It advised Rede D’Or on drafting a cross-border loan agreement related to a $210m secured credit facility granted by the IFC, a loan agreement granted by Citibank and a derivative agreement; and assisted residential construction company Rossi Residencial in the restructuring of R$1.2bn debt. Marcos Pulino has ‘tremendous technical knowledge’, and Fábio Cascione is ‘clear and smart’. Regulatory expert Marcelo Padua, who also handles means-of-payment, foreign exchange, new financial products and fintech, among other matters, was promoted to partner as of July 2018. The firm has also hired Paulo Fernando Campana Filho to head-up the restructuring and insolvency practice.

Cascione, Pulino, Boulos & Santos Advogados has an impressive track record which includes a public offering of agribusiness receivables certificates issued by Eco Securitizadora, advising VLI Multimodal as the originator of the receivables that backed the transaction. The ‘accessible and competent’ team, under the lead of Fábio Cascione and Marcos Pulino, also advised on the issuance of real estate receivables certificates and the public offering of debentures and commercial paper. Marcelo Padua Lima was promoted to partner in January 2018.
