Bowman and Brooke LLP

Jointly led by Phoenix-based Paul Cereghini and Bard Borkon in Minneapolis, the team at Bowman and Brooke LLP is praised for ‘achieving superior results’ in the automotive arena and covers the whole range of product liability lawsuits, class action defense and mass tort litigation in the auto sector. Recent highlights include defending several automotive manufacturers including Ferrari, Jaguar and Tesla against lemon law and warranty claims, and also representing Honda and BMW in the Takata airbag MDL. In another highlight, Thomas Branigan in Detroit acted for BMW North America as lead trial counsel in litigation regarding crash avoidance technology. Bowman and Brooke LLP

Bowman and Brooke LLP has a wealth of experience in a number of sectors, including construction, e-cigarettes, recreational products and sport equipment. Of particular note, the team is acting for helmet manufacturer Riddell as national counsel in the high-profile NFL concussion litigation. Further, the team represented Yamaha Motor in propeller guard product liability litigation involving marine accidents of outboard motors. Firm head Paul Cereghini in Phoenix and head of the consumer products group Michelle Gilboe in Minneapolis are the key members of the practice. Jointly headed by Richard Morgan and David Lutz in Minneapolis, Bowman and Brooke LLP is regularly involved in chemical exposure cases, but also handles water contamination claims. Orlando-based Jon Hernan is representing WM Barr in personal injury and product liability claims involving chemical exposure and accidents; this recently included a wrongful death lawsuit involving acute exposure to hazardous chemicals while using a product manufactured by the client. Other work includes acting as lead trial counsel for Mack Trucks in asbestos-related cases, and defending Daikin Applied in asbestos litigation.
