For instance, RK&O corporate lawyers were leaders in developing the market for distressed debt and are today highly respected in that field; the firm’s litigators are active in the most current capital markets and business disputes and in defending organizations and persons under investigation for alleged securities law violations; its hedge fund and private equity attorneys have advised on numerous complex transactions and structuring issues; and its regulatory and compliance lawyers are recognized authorities on internal investigations, auditor independence and US and international securities law compliance issues.
