Mr. Caputo has worked in the national commercial courts and renowned law firms during 27 years. He has participated in several highly complex commercial and civil litigation proceedings, international and domestic arbitration proceedings, insurance claims as well as in due diligence processes. He has published many papers on commercial and procedural Law and is author of the book "Inoponibilidad de la personalidad jurídica societaria" (Astrea, 2006). He specializes in dispute resolution (litigation, domestic and international arbitration, Company Law conflicts, insurances adjustment and litigation and conflicts related to antitrust conducts).

Among its recent work, ‘capable litigator’ Martín Beretervide represented IDB on the restructuring of renewable energy group Industrias Metalúrgicas Pescarmona. In a rare debtor-side mandate, Beretervide teamed up with ‘well known bankruptcy expertCarlos Rotman to advise Grupo ALL Argentina on the successful restructuring of its business in the country, following the government’s termination of its railways freight concession agreement. The department handles a diverse mix of contentious matters – including contractual claims, criminal cases, class actions and domestic and international arbitration – and is particularly well known for its strength in energy-related work. In a significant piece of judicial litigation, the firm successfully represented SADESA Group in a case against a majority shareholder concerning the control of one of the two electricity distributers in Argentina – Rotman, Caputo and Mariano Luchetti led that work.
