Greenberg Traurig LLP’s business immigration group handles the full range of immigration matters, focusing on assisting multinational and domestic corporations with strategic immigration planning for the US in the inbound and outbound transfer of employees. The team is particularly noted for its EB-5 investor practice, for instance the firm co-founded the EB-5 Immigration Coalition with Pathways EB-5, The National Association of Homebuilders and The Real Estate Round Table with the aim to promote the extension and improvement of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Other areas of expertise include handling compliance work, especially Form I-9 and E-Verify matters as well as the provision of immigration due diligence in mergers and acquisitions. Laura Reiff, who splits her time between Washington and DC and Northern Virginia, and Atlanta-based Ian Macdonald co-chair the practice. Northern Virginia-based duo Martha Schoonover and Pamela Mak, and Kate Kalmykov, who is working in both the New Jersey and New York offices, are also key members. Courtney Noce was promoted to partner in Atlanta office in March 2018.
