Lori G. Cohen is the Chair of the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Group, Co-Chair of the firm's Atlanta Litigation Practice, and Chair of the Trial Practice Group. She has a national litigation practice focusing on product liability litigation and specifically, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. Lori is National Counsel for a medical device manufacturer, handling its litigation including class actions, multidistrict litigation, and trials nationally. She has served as both National Counsel and Regional Counsel for pharmaceutical and medical device companies and has expertise in mass tort, multidistrict, and class action litigation. She also has vast experience in other products liability litigation and jury trials of all kinds. She has defended numerous healthcare providers, including physicians, hospitals, and managed care entities nationwide.

The pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare litigation practice at Greenberg Traurig LLP is headed by Atlanta-based Lori Cohen and is recommended for its ‘expertise in medical device product liability cases and the pharmaceuticals industry generally’. Led by Chicago-based Gregory Ostfeld and Christiana Jacxsens in Atlanta, the team continues to act as lead national counsel to Alcon in six multi-state consumer fraud class actions and recently obtained dismissal of the first and lead case, in which plaintiffs had alleged unfair practices in the dropper design of glaucoma drugs. In other work, Cohen acts as national counsel to Medtronic in litigation and claims involving a wide variety of medical devices and recently obtained settlements in three cases with significant potential exposure. The team also continues to represent CR Bard as national coordinating and national trial counsel in all claims concerning pelvic mesh and vaginal mesh devices. Sandoz, Takeda and Teva are also clients of the firm. In June 2017, mass torts expert Russell Gaudreau joined the New York office from Reed Smith LLP.
