Position

Carl A. Ruggiero advises on all legal aspects of alternative investment management, with respect to hedge and private equity funds.

Mr. Ruggiero offers strategic advice to clients on the structuring of funds. He has experience in all aspects of structuring, documenting and operating offshore investment funds and U.S. private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, feeder funds and fund of funds, leveraged buyout funds and other pooled investment management vehicles.

He also counsels U.S. and international clients on the U.S. Securities Laws, the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act  as they relate to private funds.

Mr. Ruggiero is recommended in Legal 500 USA 2013 for United States: Investment fund formation and management. He currently serves on the Stanford Law School Dean’s Advisory Council as well as other Stanford boards.
