Led by Thomas Taylor in Houston, the mass tort practice at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represents manufacturers in asbestos and energy litigation. In one recent highlight, Houston-based Alexis Gomez successfully defended Process Water Systems in an asbestos-related case, in which the plaintiff alleged that exposure to asbestos-containing products manufactured by PWS caused him to develop mesothelioma. The team regularly acts for BP and its affiliates in toxic tort litigation. Joseph Blizzard in Dallas is another key figure in the department.
