Career

Diane Sullivan is a nationally acclaimed trial attorney and a partner in Weil’s Litigation Department. She focuses on complex commercial and mass torts litigation for companies in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, consumer products, energy, and chemicals. She has been recognized for her successful trial work by prominent legal and lay publications, and is a frequent author/speaker on topics relating to litigation and trial issues.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP’s product liability and mass torts practice is headed by Arvin Maskin in New York and has a wealth of experience in a number of industries, including tobacco, cosmetics, dietary supplements and technology. Led by Diane Sullivan, the team obtained a favorable settlement for Procter & Gamble in a consumer fraud class action which alleged that the marketing of probiotic dietary supplement Align was misleading. In other work, Maskin continues to represent Japanese fiber manufacturer Toyobo in a series of investigations and litigation related to the performance of zylon fiber in bullet-resistant vests. Philip Morris, Walgreens and Nortek are also clients of the firm. David Singh is another name to note.
